CONCRETE TILE
Concrete Tile is a design exploration that combines parametric design and digital fabrication techniques to create unique architectural surface patterns. The tile mould was generated using a Grasshopper script, where the geometry was inspired by the dynamic patterns formed by magnetic fields. This computational design process allowed complex forms and textures to emerge through algorithmic control.
The moulds for the tiles were then CNC milled, translating the digital design into precise physical forms. Using these moulds, concrete tiles were cast to produce textured surfaces that highlight the relationship between digital design tools and material experimentation.
The project demonstrates how parametric modeling and advanced fabrication methods can be used to develop innovative architectural materials and surface designs, bridging the gap between computational design and real-world construction.
