About Studio Rivet
Studio Rivet is an architecture and interior design practice based in Gurugram, creating thoughtful residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional environments across Delhi NCR and India.
Our Story
Studio Rivet is an architecture and interior design practice based at 49 Arjun Marg, DLF Phase 1, Gurugram. We were founded in 2005 by architects Neel Kaul and Akanksha Rathee, and we have been designing homes, commercial spaces, hospitality environments, and institutional buildings across Delhi NCR and India for 21 years.
Neel trained and practised in Canada and the United States before returning to India to co-found Studio Rivet. Akanksha studied architecture at IAAC Barcelona and brings a strong research orientation to the studio's work.
Between them, they bring a design sensibility that is internationally educated but deeply grounded in the Indian context in the specific qualities of Indian light, the demands of Indian climate, the cultural richness of Indian spatial traditions, and the practical realities of building on Indian construction sites.

What We Believe
We believe that architecture and interior design are the same discipline approached from different scales. A building that is beautifully designed at the urban scale but uncomfortable to live in at the human scale has not succeeded. An interior that is beautiful in photographs but dysfunctional in daily use has not succeeded.
We design from the outside in and from the inside out simultaneously, which is why the homes we design tend to feel like complete, coherent environments rather than a good building with a good interior done by two different teams.
We are not a large firm. We are a focused studio that takes on a limited number of projects at any one time and gives each one the depth of attention it deserves. Our principal architects are involved in every project from the first meeting to the final walk-through. This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
